Dordrecht construction team: A3 Stadswerven

Stadswerven is a new urban district in Dordrecht on the banks of the Beneden Merwede and the Wantij. New construction over the years ensures there is a steady stream of projects to complete. In area A3, an apartment complex with a parking garage is being developed that is located by the Wantij. So, this project is right up our alley, namely, building a water barrier in a challenging environment. For example, we must allow for the protected dragonfly, contaminants and the construction of a building at a later time.  During the design phase, we worked with Ingenieursbureau Drechtsteden to draw up a design for the sheet piling structures and anchors. In the design phase, we took the building’s development into account so that its foundation could be laid without any problems. The outcome was a project that stayed within budget with adjusted phasing, modified sheet piling design and a fully customised anchor design. For us, this is a perfect example of how great collaboration can lead to optimal results.
