Office
Our offices provide an inspiring work environment to achieve powerful solutions. Our office on the Oudsas with glass facade with slatted construction symbolises what Hakkers stands for: transparency, environmental awareness and modern solutions. The 2011 office renovation improved its appearance and expanded our floor space. It also improved the energy performance of this location. This entailed smart positioning towards the sun for maximum efficiency in summer and winter; and insulation, climate control and a heating system to provide an environmentally conscious and pleasant workplace.
Port and transshipment site
We have our own inland harbour at the Bandijk industrial estate in Werkendam. The central location on the Nieuwe Merwede, the Steurgat, the Beneden-Merwede and the Boven-Merwede means that the project sites are quickly accessible and the equipment can be efficiently maintained in-house. Moreover, the 200-metre-long unloading quay can be used for transshipment. Storage space can be found on the 4-hectare site or in one of the storage sheds.
Steel structure workshops
We manufacture our work sections at our own port site under the most optimal conditions. Employee and environmental safety are paramount. The climate-controlled work environment ensures that we stay on schedule with our production at all times. The combination of height, hoisting capacity and double crab in the crane gantry allows us to safely rotate work sections. The wide doorway allows materials to exit safely (horizontally) onto a pontoon and to their final destination. Quality assured! Besides a safe workplace, sustainability is also paramount: our workshop is completely gas-free and fully equipped with solar panels.
Concrete (carpentry) workshop
Hakkers has a concrete carpentry workshop to fabricate precast and in situ concrete work. A wide variety of concrete structures are erected or formed, reinforced and poured on site, where we use formwork fabricated in-house. In the precast hall, we fabricate formwork for precast and in-situ concrete structures. To finish quay structures, dolphins and guide walls, wood or plastic is often used as fender structures. The precast hall is equipped with all the supplies needed to pre-treat the wood. Decking for wooden jetties is also sawed and machined by our own craftsmen.
